Privacy Policy
Effective 8 August 2026
ShaunPic is a mobile application operated by JunziTech Solutions LLC ("we", "us"). ShaunPic lets you create photo and video albums tied to real places, share them privately or publicly, and talk with the people in them. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have. We built ShaunPic so that the app collects only what the product needs — we show no advertising, we use no advertising identifiers, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
Account. Your email address and a password (stored only as a cryptographic hash by our authentication provider), or your Apple ID identifier if you choose Sign in with Apple.
Profile. The display name, username and profile photo you choose. These are visible to other users.
Your content. Photos and videos you post, their captions, comments, reactions, and the albums you create — including each album's place boundary drawn on the map and its optional time window. Who can see this content is defined by the album type you choose: Personal (only you), Private and Invited (only people you invite), or Public (anyone using ShaunPic).
Location. With your permission, your precise location — only while you are using the app. It is used to centre an album's boundary where you are, to tell you whether you are inside a boundary before you capture, to stamp your posts with where they were taken, and to show public albums near you. Location is attached to the posts you create; you can review it before posting. We do not collect your location in the background.
Messages. Direct and group messages you send in the app, so we can deliver them.
Contacts — fingerprints only. If you choose to find friends from your address book, your contacts are never uploaded. The app computes an irreversible fingerprint (a salted cryptographic hash) of each address on your device and compares those fingerprints on the server. The fingerprints are used for the comparison and are not stored.
Notifications. If you enable push notifications, a device push token.
Support. Anything you send us when you contact support.
How we use it
To run the service: store and deliver your albums, enforce who can see what, deliver messages and notifications, and show maps and places. To keep people safe: process reports, apply blocks (people you block disappear from your ShaunPic world, and you from theirs), and moderate content that violates our rules. We do not use your content for advertising and we do not sell it.
Who else is involved
We use a small number of service providers, each only for what the product needs:
Supabase — database, file storage and authentication. Your account data and content live there. Access rules are enforced on the server itself, not only in the app.
Mapbox — map tiles, the globe, and place search. When you use a map screen, Mapbox receives the technical requests needed to draw the map (including your IP address and the map area requested), under Mapbox's own privacy policy.
Apple / Google — sign-in (if you use Sign in with Apple) and push notification delivery on their platforms.
Beyond these, we disclose data only if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users.
Your content and other people
Content you share is visible to the audience you chose for the album, and public albums can be discovered by anyone. Other members of an album can see the posts, comments and reactions in it. If you delete content, it disappears for everyone; deleted albums pass through Trash, where you can restore them before they are permanently removed.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account — this removes your profile and your content. You can also export a copy of your data from Settings at any time.
Security
Data travels encrypted (TLS). Access to private content is enforced by server-side access rules on every table that holds your data.
Children
ShaunPic is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and similar laws), you have the right to access, correct, export and delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. The app itself covers the common cases — export and deletion are built in — and for anything else, contact us at nclark@junzitechsolutions.com. We do not sell personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of selling.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
